Despite a rainy and cold forecast, MASH students heated up the dance floor, making prom 2024 was truly night to remember! On Saturday, May 11th, the MASH Junior Council held prom at The Oak Hall in Conneaut Lake with the sophisticated theme of “Into the Night.” The color scheme was an elegant navy blue, silver, and white and the tables matched the theme with beautiful centerpieces containing beads of blue and silver that appeared as if they were floating! The venue was prettily decorated with twinkle lights and vineyard vines hanging from the ceiling, and a festive background students could take pictures to remember this rite of passage.

The theme and atmosphere can be thanked in large part to Junior Council advisor, Mrs. Melissa Bender, who is a prom-planning veteran, as well as the Junior Council prom planning and decorating committee: Camden Armstrong, Keely Conley, Ashlee Croll, Sydney Germanoski, Eva Gordon, Brooke Hart, Josh McMichael, Desiree Morin, Callie Peterson, Cassie Peterson, Ellio Schleicher, Emily Schnauber, and Natalie Smith. Additionally, several MASH staff volunteered as chaperones: Principal Higgins, Assistant Principal Walsh, Miss Brown, Miss Costelnik, Miss Diorio, Miss Emmel, Miss Gregor, Mrs. Herberg, Mrs. Hovis, Mr. Jaros, Mr. McCoy, Mrs. McGowan, Mrs. Mulvey, and Mrs. & Mr. Williams. Prom was so exciting that chaperones even got on the dance floor, and even Mrs. Cremonese, who was not a chaperone, showed up just to have a good time!

In addition to delicious desserts and a snow cone truck, to make the event more fun and engaging, Junior Council provided foam, flashing light sticks for students to wave around as the danced, creating a real party atmosphere! In fact, these light sticks inspired seniors Daniel Michaelson and Xander Korrell to get the lightsabers they conveniently had in their cars and bring the force the prom!

The night was further enhanced by the beautiful fashions of the attendees! The fashion trends of the night were jewel tone dresses, and suit jackets with a bright flair. Many girls wore dresses in shades of emerald green, royal and baby blue, Barbie pink, lilac and dark purple, ruby red, and black. Sequins and intricate beading were also a trend, with many dresses appearing iridescent! MASH’s own prom queen and king, Jenna Bosco and Luca White, were in striking aquamarine. Prom 2024 was nothing but a success and will go down in the books as another great milestone as a Meadville Bulldog! View the below photo gallery to see more prom photos!
